BEIJING, Oct 23 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad
Badawi arrived here Wednesday night to attend the two-day Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit.

He is among more than 30 heads of government gathering in the Chinese

volatile international financial crisis.

The Prime Minister who was accompanied by Jeanne Abdullah was
received on arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport by among others
Deputy Foreign Minister Abd Rahim Bakri and Malaysian Ambassador to China
Syed Norulzaman Syed Kamarulzaman.

Abdullah has a packed programme in his three-day stay that includes
meetings with his Asean counterparts and another meeting with leaders of China,
Japan and South Korea under the Asean Plus Three pact.

He is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with several Asian and
European leaders.

On Thursday, Abdullah will launch the Beijing representative office of
