OIC condemns blast in Turkish city

Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has condemned a blast in the Turkish city of Iskenderun, the organization said today.
Ihsanoglu has reiterated Turkey's support in the fight against terrorism and condemned terrorism throughout the world. He urged to take action to catch and punish the perpetrators of the attack.
A car bomb blew up. Four people were injured.
According to the media, the explosion occurred about 150 meters from the army barracks.
Iskenderun is located on the Mediterranean Sea in Hatay province bordering with Syria, where insurgents of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) operate.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
