Beijing, Oct. 23 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has called on all countries and international financial organizations to jointly deal with the global financial crisis.

"All parties, including international financial organizations should jointly attempt to solve the current global financial crisis," President Yudhoyono said here on Thursday before hundreds of businessmen attending the 11th Asia-Europe Business Forum.

The Business Forum was held as part of a series of activities organized prior to the 7th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit.

ASEM will take place on October 24 and 25 and be attended by 43 heads of state and government and two international organizations.

Among Indonesian delegates attending the Business Forum were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Widodo AS, Foreign Affairs Minister Hassan Wirajuda, Health Minister Siti Fadila Supari, Environmental Affairs Minister Rachmat Witoelar, State Enterprise Minister Sofyan Djalil, Minister/Cabinet Secretary Sudi Silalahi.

International organizations such as World Bank, IMF, ASEM and ASEAN Plus 3 (China, Japan, and South Korea), should together think about measures and efforts to deal with the financial crisis, he said.

The organizations should also hold dialogs to address the financial crisis and help recover the global financial condition, he said.

"The 7th ASEM Summit which will be held for two days, could also become a forum for heads of state to meet and discuss concrete actions to deal with the financial crisis," the President said.

The Private sectors, local administrations, central governments and international organizations must take part in efforts to solve the global financial crisis, he said.

"We all hope that the current financial crisis could be soon over, and the ASEM momentum is expected to be able to find a solution to the problem," he said.

President Yudhoyono is on a five-day visit to China, from October 22 to 26, 2008, among other things to attend the ASEM Summit.
