Yemeni, Omani talks in transport sector

SANA'A, Oct. 22 (Saba) - Minister of Transport Khaled al-Wazir
headed on Wednesday for Muscat to held talks with officials in
Oman's Telecommunication and Transportation Ministry.

In a statement to Saba, al-Wazir made clear that talks would focus
on the implementation of results of the eighth round of meetings of
the Joint Omani-Yemeni Ministerial Committee which was held in
Sana'a last February in addition to reviewing the arrangements for
the ninth early in 2009.

The talks will review the measures taken to fight piracy and armed
robbery against ships at the Gulf of Aden, Red Sea and south of
Indian Ocean, the minister said.
