Donors confirm increasing financial allocations for secondary

SANA'A, Oct. 22 (Saba) - The representatives of donor countries and
organizations in Yemen have confirmed their intention to raise
financial allocations to improve secondary education project
expected to be implemented in the beginning of 2009.

During their meeting with Minister of Education Abdul-Salam al-
Jawfi, donors said that there are other new donors would join to
support secondary education project.

The first financial expense for implementing the national strategy
of secondary education amounted more than $400 million out of which
$83 million provided as donation and gifts from the donors, in
addition to $20 million as a loan provided by nternational
Development Association (IDA) for Yemen
