Bristish film week highlights city life
Hanoi (VNA) - A week long celebration of UK films in Hanoi and HCM City will feature a collection of the best urban contemporary British movies.
Organised by the British Council, the event is titled Urban Tales and will
present a mix of feature, animation and short films set against an urban
backdrop.
Starting on October 24 in Hanoi , some highlights of the week include
screening of Breaking and Entering, featuring Jude Law and Juliette Binoche,
It's a Free World by leading film director Ken Loach, and Bullet Boy .
In addition, the event will also feature two series of short films and one
series of animated films. A collection of short films by young Vietnamese
filmmakers exploring urban life across Vietnam will also be screened.
UK Film Week will take place in Hanoi from October 24 to 31.
A four-day workshop led by UK artist and filmmaker Joe Magee and film
expert Dominique Green will be held for young filmmakers and artists from
October 28-31 at the Hanoi Cinematheque. The workshop will focus on how to
make a community film and an overview of everything involved in the
production, distribution and exhibition of films.
Magee will also lead a one-day workshop on illustration for art students
and young designers on October 27, also at the Hanoi Cinematheque.
In CM City, the film week will take place from November 1 to 7 at the
Galaxy Cinema.-Enditem
