INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF THE PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN TO BE HELD ON 24 OCTOBER

Baku, 22 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)The inauguration ceremony of Ilham Aliyev, re-elected as the President of the Azerbaijan Republic will be held on 24 October, 2008.

At its plenary session on October 22, the Constitutional Court of the Azerbaijan
Republic chaired by Farkhad Abdullayev officially declared that presidential
candidate Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev has been elected as the President of the
Azerbaijan Republic.
In accordance with Article 103 of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic,
inauguration of a person elected as the President of the country, shall take place
within three days after official announcement of election results by the
Constitutional Court.
The President of the Azerbaijan Republic comes into office from the inauguration day.
