PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO ARRIVES IN BEIJING

Beijing, Oct 22 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono arrived in Beijing on Wednesday for a five-day visit.

The president and entourage arrived at the city's Capital International Airport at 05.00 p.m. by a Garuda A 330-300 special flight after flying for six-and-a-half hours from Jakarta.
Accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, the president was greeted by Indonesian Ambassador to China Sudrajat and a number of Chinese officials upon arrival.
While in China, the president and entourage will stay at Peninsula Hotel here.
On Wednesday night, Yudhoyono is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Indonesian delegation to the 7th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit scheduled for October 24-25 at the Great Hall of the People here.
The president's entourage includes Coordinating Minister for Legal, Political and Security Affairs Widodo AS, Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu, State Enterprises Minister Sofyan Djalil, Foreign Minister Hassan Wirajuda, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Health Minister Siti Fadilah Supari, State Minister for the Environment Rachmat Witoelar and Cabinet Secretary Sudi Silalahi.
Prior to the ASEM Summit, the Indonesian leader is expected to hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien-Loong, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, Thai Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat, Dutch Prime Minister Jan Pieter Bakenende and Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Wu Yi.
On the sidelines of his visit in China, Yudhoyono is also scheduled to attend the meetings of ASEAN leaders and ASEAN+3 involving China, Japan and South Korea to discuss the impact of the global financial crisis on the East Asian economy.
