M`SIAN CENTRAL BANK`S INTERNATIONAL RESERVES AT RM371.8 BLN
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Central Bank's international
reserves stood at RM371.8 billion (US$107.6 billion) as at Oct 15, 2008.
The reserves were slightly lower when compared with RM379.3 billion
(US$109.7 billion) as at Sept 30, 2008, the central bank said in a statement
Wednesday.
The Central Bank said the reserves level had taken into account the
quarterly adjustment of the foreign exchange revaluation gain, following the
strengthening of the major currencies against the ringgit during the
quarter.
The reserves position is sufficient to finance 8.7 months of retained
imports and is four times the short-term external debt, it added.
