SHELL HOPES JAMES BOND COLLECTIBLE CARS TO BE NEXT SUCCESS
SHAH ALAM (Malaysia), Oct 22 (Bernama) -- Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd
aims to make the newly launched James Bond 007 collectible cars a big success
like its previous Ferrari model cars campaign.
"It is difficult to comment on the specific revenue but we do hope it will
as much of a bigger success as our previous campaign," head of retail marketing
for Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Brunei, Vivek Kumar, said at a media
conference here Wednesday.
The promotion came on the back of Shell's successful promotion earlier this
year which saw a total of over three million Ferrari model cars taken up by
enthusiatic collectors.
The James Bond collectible model cars include the Sunbeam Alpine 5 featured
in the movie "Dr. No", Lotus Esprit from "The Spy who Loved Me", BMW Z3 Roadster
from" "GoldenEye" and the Aston Martin DB5 from "Goldfinger" and
"Thunderball".
The collectible cars will be sold at Shell petrol stations nationwide until
Dec 17, 2008, or while stocks last.
