Kazakhstan, Ukraine discuss strengthening cooperation in tourism

Kazakhstan, Astana, Oct. 24 / Trend corr. D. Mukhtarov / Kazakh Ambassador to Ukraine Zautbek Turisbekov visited Lviv region. Within the visit, he met with the Head of the Lviv regional administration Mikhail Kostyuk. Strengthening cooperation of the Lviv area with Kazakh regions, including in the field of tourism, was discussed at the meeting, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported. The project of the Kazakh Embassy 'Medical Tourism', aimed to organize rehabilitation programs for Kazakhstani in the best resorts of the Western Ukraine and Crimea, was of particular interest at the meeting. In particular, the project involves extensive use of potential of world famous resort areas Truskovets, Morshin, and resorts of the Crimea by Kazakh citizens. The counterparts expressed mutual interest in realization of the project. Following the talks, an agreement was reached on reduction of the cost of tourist vouchers for Kazakhstani participants of the project. In addition, the heads of the Kazakh Embassy and Lviv region made a proposal to the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure on organization of a special meeting to discuss preferential flight conditions for members of the 'Medical Tourism' project.
