CONSTITUTIONAL COURT CONFIRMS ILHAM ALIYEV`s VICTORY IN AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENTIAL POLL
Baku, 22 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court has confirmed the victory of incumbent President Ilham Aliyev in the October 15 election, after reviewing the final protocol of the Central Election Commission.
Ilham Aliyev gained 88.73% of the vote, securing a second five-year term.
At its plenum meeting in early hours on Wednesday, the constitutional court heard reports by judges and experts involved in the election process. The court`s decision comes into the effect from the day it was adopted.
