Saudi Red Crescent Association chief receives Eritrean

Riyadh, October 21, SPA -- Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz,
Chairman of the Saudi Red Crescent Association, received at his
office in Riyadh today the ambassador of the Republic of Eritrea
Mohammed Omer Mahmoud.

During the meeting, matters of concern to the two countries were
discussed.

In particular, the ambassador shed light on the difficult social and
living situation in his country, aggravated by the souring food
prices and lack of rain this year.

For his part, the Saudi senior official requested the Eritrean envoy
to state his country's needs to meet this humanitarian situation,
stating that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is always ready to stand by
Islamic countries and peoples during difficult times.
