Prince Naif opens and lays foundations of a number of projects
Riyadh, October 21, SPA -- Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Interior
Minister, opened and laid the foundations of a number of projects at
the Riyadh-based Security Forces Hospital.
At the venue, he was received by the Minister of Health Dr. Hamad bin
Abdullah Al-Manea and a number of senior officials.
A speech ceremony was held on the occasion.
In a key address, the Director General for Security Forces Programme
Dr. Abdulrahman bin Muaamar reported that the hospital receives more
than 3000 patients daily who are visited by 700,000 relatives and
friends annually and that more than 8000 operations are performed
annually at the hospital.
He said that the strategic plan of the programme includes the set up
of seven hospitals each with 120-bed and nine ideal health centers in
different parts of the Kingdom.
Then Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz laid the foundations of a number of
projects in the hospital including Prince Naif Center for Kidney
diseases and blood dialysis, Heart diseases and surgery center,
gynecology department, pediatrics, clinics, operation rooms,
emergency department, in-patient suites, administrative offices and a
giant parking lot.
Addressing the gathering, Prince Naif said the comprehensive security
concept has become a strategic goal for the government.
In this context, the Ministry of Interior adopts the concept of
providing all kinds of security for the country and citizen, which
hardly divides social security from health security, he said.
He added that Security Forces Hospital thus contributes to the
overall health integral concept which will cover the entire parts of
the country under direct instructions and follow-up of the Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown
Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier, Minister of
Defense and Aviation and Inspector General.
The event was attended by a number of princes, ministers, directors
of security sectors and senior civil and military officials.
