Al-Suhaibi hold talks with IMF mission

SANA'A, Oct.21 (Saba)- Minister of Finance Numan al-Suhaibi held a
meeting on Tuesday with mission of the International Monetary Fund
(IMF) and discussed with them aspects of mutual cooperation between
Yemen and the fund.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed what has been achieved in
Yemen, particularly in the areas of financial and economic reforms.

The minister pointed out the challenges faced by the Yemeni
government on the global financial crisis, the devaluation of the
unstable oil prices and the impact on the state's resources.

For his part, IMF official praised the positive achievements of the
reform program in Yemen, affirming that the fund's readiness to
provide technical support which Yemen needs in the domain of
financial reforms.
