MILLI MAJLIS TO FOCUS ON STATE FINANCING OF POLITICAL PARTIES
Baku, 21 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)At its autumn session, the Milli Majlis is going to get back to the issue of state financing of political parties, Siyavush Novruzov, Chair of the Permanent Commission on Security and Defense Affairs told AzerTAc.
According
to him, some amendments and supplements are expected to the Law on Political
Parties.
Novruzov pointed out that one of the proposals advanced in this connection is to set
participation in elections as one of the criteria for state financing of political
parties. If the proposal is adopted, then the six parties participated in the
elections as well as those participated in the parliamentary elections may count on
receiving financial contributions from the state budget, he added.
