Plastics, rubber exhibition opens in HCM City

HCM City (VNA) - An international exhibition on machinery, equipment
and materials of plastics and rubber industries was opened in Ho Chi Minh
City on Oct. 21.

Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2008, jointly held by the VCCI Exhibition
Services Company, the Bangkok Exhibition Services Company and Messe
Dusseldorf Asia, drew 39 domestic businesses and 169 units from 20 countries
and territories around the world.

The expo which will last until Oct. 23 showcase plastic and rubber
products, services, materials and machineries from developed countries.

It aims to help Vietnamese businesses seek investments and acquire
advanced technologies for their production.

A seminar on plastic industry, meetings and exchange activities will be
held during the event to help Vietnamese firms seek opportunities for
cooperation and sign economic agreements with foreign partners.-Enditem
