Prince Naif speaks about deviant group

Riyadh, Oct 21, SPA -- Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior
Minister, said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was a target for an
organized terror campaign linked with owners of sedition and
corruption abroad.

He said in a statement to spa, that the campaign aimed at undermining
the country's way of life and economy, and it advocates chaos.
He pointed out that the campaign has a direct link with the deviant
group which is called 'al-Qaeda'.

Prince Naif noted that the campaign has targeted the Kingdom despite
the fact that it has been implementing the Islamic Shariah, and
despite the fact that it is the cradle of Islam and the country which
includes the Holy Places.

He pointed out that the deviant group had carried out more than 30
operations inside the country including the explosions of east
Riyadh, al-Muhayya housing complex, the buildings of the traffic
administration and the interior ministry in addition to the refinery
of Bogaig and the assassinations of Khobar which targeted the
citizens and security men.

160 operations. 74 of the security men were martyrized and 657 others were injured during confrontation with the deviant group, he said adding that the terror operations were entailed by material and morale losses.

He noted that in addition to the security men 90 of the citizens and
