Tanzanian FM confers with Iranian VP

Tehran, Oct 21, IRNA

Visiting Tanzanian Foreign Minister Bernard Membe conferred here with Iran's Vice-President Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaei on Monday.

Rahim-Mashaei, who is head of Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and
Tourism Organization, said, "Cultural heritage is an appropriate field
for expanding ties between Iran and Tanzania."

He said, "Currently, a large number of Iranian tourists travel to
Tanzania to enjoy its beautiful nature, especially Kilimanjaro Peak."

The VP continued that Tanzanian historical sites and works are so
valuable for us and added, "Already a group of experts have been
dispatched to Tanzania for research and study about mutual cooperation
and we expressed our readiness for presenting our experiences in the
field of repair of historical works."

Head of CHHTO expressed hope that the visit can be a turning point in
developing bilateral ties and stressed that the two countries have
potentials for cooperation much more than the existing one.
