Riyadh, October 20, SPA -- Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of
Interior, patronized the opening ceremony of the First Industrial
Engineering conference held in Riyadh today under the theme "Role of
Industrial Engineering in maintaining the Security and Safety of
National Facilities and Achievements".
Addressing the gathering, Prince Naif said the Ministry of Interior
is looking forward to see more symposia in the context of safety and
maintenance of public utilities and national achievements.
He said the symposium of today aims at enlightening people on the
dangers and damages that the industrial sector might incur on one
hand and ways of countering such risks on the other.
He added that the symposium takes place within the care and interest
of the authorities in the welfare of citizens and expatriates alike.
He said that "we have to work for fending off expected dangers that
might take place in workplaces and upgrade the performance rate to
block fatal mistakes that might lead to human, economic and social
uncompensated losses.
