Transport Minister seeks international air transport cooperation

SANA'A, Oct. 20 (Saba)- Minister of transport Khaled al-Wazir
discussed on Monday with World Bank's air transport expert Charles
Schlumberger the organization's support and aid to Yemen in air
field.

The two parts discussed air transportation fields and possibly
updating airports in Yemen, especially Sana'a, Aden and Muccalla
airports and expanding tourist and human components and improving
services to be in parallel with international airports in developed
countries.

Al-Wazir made it clear that the Civil Aviation and Metrology
Authority would take major role in this expansion that covers all
Yemeni airports in preparations for opening atmospheres before
international aviation.

He indicated that the WB would carry out studies in field of
international aviation for keeping pace with development in aviation
services as well as providing support in filed of other different
transport fields and setting long term policies extend to 30 years.
