Georgian President votes in parliamentary elections

Georgia, Tbilisi, Oct.1 / Trend, N.Kirtskhalia /
Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili voted in the parliamentary elections. He came to the polling station together with First Lady Sandra Roelofs and youngest son.
The President called the parliamentary elections in Georgia as historic.
"These elections are very important because they will allow us to go ahead and never return to the past. We need the right choice so that our future generations lived in a happy country.
And I am confident that our people, who always make the right decisions, will again take right decision," he stressed.
Parliamentary elections are underway in Georgia, in which 14 parties and two political blocks participate.
In 2013, after amendments to the Constitution will take effect, the Parliament will receive more authority, and the rights of the head of state will be curtailed.
The elections will be declared valid if the number of voters will be at least one third of the total number of voters.
