Social Partnership MOU signed

Riyadh, October 20, SPA -- Minister of Water and Electricity Abdullah
bin Abdul Rahman Al-Husayen, who is also the chairman of the board
of directors of Electricity & Cogeneration Regulatory Authority
(ECRA) and Dr. Yousuf Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, the Minister of Social
Affairs signed here today a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which
is aimed at establishing a formal framework of social partnership
between the Ministry of Social Affairs representative (Social
Insurance Department) and the Authority and Saudi Electricity Company
to support the program to contribute a portion of electricity bills
for beneficiaries of the social security inclusive of the
identification of the monthly consumption rate of electricity to the
family of social insurance over a period of an entire year.


The Ministry of Social Affairs will finance the project for the
program beneficiaries.
