SBY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CASES OF MISSING PERSONS
Jakarta, Oct 19 (ANTARA) - One of the executive chairmen of the Democrats' Party, Anas Urbaningrum, questioned here on Sunday the relevance of the plan of the House of Representatives' (DPR) Special Committee on Missing Persons to summon President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in connection with the case of missing persons.
"He has nothing to do and no connection with the case of any missing person," he said to ANTARA in response to the committee's plan to summon the President as well as his former superiors retired general Wiranto and retired lieutenant general Prabowo Subianto in connection with missing persons.
Anas said that missing persons had nothing to do with the President. "Besides, a legal case should actually be handled by the law," he said.
He added that it was not good to politicise cases of missing persons because it could be mixed up with certain political interests.
He said he doubted that the committee would really summon SBY. "It is probably a mere discourse raised by an individual," he said.
