Negotiation with Solana, 5+1 Group is Iran's strategic policy - Official

Tehran, Oct 19, IRNA - Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Ali Hosseini by criticizing a number of countries for their approach in employing politically motivated pressure instead of dialogue and logic, underlined that Iran's strategic policy is negotiations with Solana and 5+1 group.

In a meeting with visiting Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei
Ryabkov here Saturday the two sides discussed bilateral, regional and
international issues.

Concerning Iran's nuclear issue, the Russian senior diplomat
underlined Iran's right to access to nuclear energy and called
dialogue and negotiation as the only way to solve issue.

Deputy foreign minister in legal and international affairs said,
"Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is a symbol of cooperation between Iran
and Russia."
He expressed hope that the plant is commissioned on agreed date.

Ryabkov also underlined on his country's commitment to commission the
power plant at the scheduled time.

The two senior diplomats also discussed issues like Caspian Sea,
Caucasus, terrorism, Afghanistan, fight against drug and ways to
continue cooperation in these fields.
