WTO Secretary General: Tourism development rises in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 6 / Trend M. Aliyev / The rise in tourism development has been observed in Azerbaijan, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) Taleb Rifai on a visit to Baku told journalists today. "Tourism plays an important role in the Azerbaijani economy," he said. Rifai added that the country's geographical location and a great tourism potential creates good opportunities for this type of development. The WTO secretary general arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the international conference 'Taste of the Silk Road: Cooking, Culture and Tourism'.
