THREE KILLED IN BOGOR LANDSLIDE

Bogor, W Java, Oct 18 (ANTARA) - A landslide killed three people and injured two others at Petir village, Darmaga sub district, Bogor district, West Java, on Saturday afternoon.

The bodies of the three victims were taken to the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Hospital in Bogor for an autopsy while the injured are being treated at the Darmaga public health service post.

"All the landslide victims were earth diggers. They were buried beneath the landslide while leveling soil on the side of the road at Petir village," H Uking Sumantri, the project's building contractor, said.

The three dead victims were identified as Rohim (50) and Karna (50), both from Bogor district, and Raksa (50) from Majalengka district.

The five were among 12 workers leveling soil on the side of the road.
