Kazakh delegation participates in NAM summit

Kazakhstan, Astana, Aug 31 /Trend D.Mukhtarov/ The 16th summit of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) opened in Tehran on August 30. The forum was attended by leaders and representatives of more than one hundred countries and international organizations. Kazakh foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov represents Kazekhstan, which has an observer status in NAM, the Foreign Ministry said. The speech of the Kazakh Foreign Minister at the summit is scheduled on August 31. The 16th summit of the Non-Aligned States started in the Iranian capital on Sunday. Meetings at the level of Foreign Ministers and experts were held during the first three days of the summit. NAM is an international organisation that brings together 120 countries in the world on the principles of non-participation of military blocs. NAM was officially established by 25 states at the Belgrade Conference in September 1961. The movement's establishment was preceded by the Bandung Conference in 1955. Do you have any feedback?
