Syrian rebels shoot down fighter plane of country’s Air Force

Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug 30 /Trend A.Taghiyeva/ The Free Syrian Army shot down a MIG military plane belonging to the Syrian Air Force on Thursday, Al Jazeera TV channel reported. Last night opposition forces said 10 government forces' helicopters were shot down by the rebels during the fighting. Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for about 17 months. According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria is nearing 20,000 people. More than 230,000 people have become refugees. About three million are in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say that they are opposing the well-armed militants. Do you have any feedback?
