Governor to open Saudi-American Conference on advances in breast

Jeddah, October 18, SPA -- Prince Khalid al-Faisal, the Governor of
Makkah region, will inaugurate here next Saturday the Saudi-American
conference on the scientific and medical advances in the field of
breast cancer.


The conference is being organized by Al-Iman Charitable Society for
the care of cancer patients in cooperation with Detroit Medical
Center.


Dr Mohammed Abdu Yamani, Chairman of Board of Directors of Al-Iman
Society, said the convening of the conference comes within the
framework of the Society's goals and expressed optimism that it would
yield a positive outcome.


Meanwhile, Professor Mahmoud Shaheen al-Ahwal, the head of the
medical conference, said the conference is a positive step in getting
acquainted with the latest advances and new medical and scientific
researches in the field of breast cancer.


He said six international experts in the field of treating cancer
will deliver lectures at the conference which will be attended by
more than 200 researchers and consultants from the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia and abroad.


On his part, head of the conference's organizing committee Ahmad
Al-Hamdan said all physicians are invited to attend to the
conference.
