Moscow intends to expand cooperation with Iran in cinema affairs

Moscow, Oct 18, IRNA - Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation in Cinema Affairs Alexander Golutva in a meeting with Iran's Cultural Attache in Moscow expressed his country's intention to expand cooperation with Iran in the field of cinema.

In the meeting, Golutva told Abuzar Ebrahimi Turkman that Russia has
always been following Iranian success in the field of cinema.

He said, "We have been witnessing in the last decade the success of
Iranian movies in international festivals, so Moscow intends to
increase its cooperation with Iran in this field."
The Russian deputy minister went on to say, "We are ready to discuss
cinema affairs with related Iranian officials and to sign cooperation
deals in this concern."
Iran's cultural attache, for his part, presented a report on Iran's
cinema situation and its stance in the world arena and called for
expansion of ties in this field between the two countries.

He proposed cooperation between the two countries in the field of
movie production, screening and joint markets.

The two sides agreed that the Russian side prepare a draft proposal on
cooperation and the Iranian side consider the proposal and present its
own proposal to make the final agreement.
