VN-Index down, HaSTC-Index up
Hanoi (VNA) - The VN-Index at the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) lost 2.1 points to finish the Oct. 17 trading session at 382.51 points.
The market saw 11.6 million shares worth 365.1 billion VND change hands.
The reduction of 500 VND per litre on retail petrol price and the recovery
of the US financial market seemed not to have any impact on the
VN-Index.
Meanwhile, the HaSTC-Index at the Hanoi Securities Trading Centre (HaSTC)
gained 1.04 points to end at 152.32 points with 6.1 million shares totally
worth 178.7 billion VND being traded.
Compared to last week, the VN-Index increased only 3.45 points with the
daily trading volume averaging at 14.609 million shares worth a total
445.587 billion VND, a fall in both volume and value.
The HaTSC-Index also went up 5.98 points, seeing 7.68 million shares worth
365.046 billion VND change hands.-Enditem
