LAW MINISTER INSTALLS NEW INSPECTOR GENERAL
Jakarta, Oct 17 (ANTARA) - Law and Human Rights Minister Andi Mattalatta here Friday installed Sam L Tobing as the ministry's new inspector general to replace Marvel L Mangungson.
After his replacement, Marvel Mangunsong would get a new position as a senior adviser to the law and human rights minister on economic and foreign affairs.
On the occasion, Mattalatta said all officials at his ministry whether old or new , should be able to carry out their tasks well.
Asked if Tobing's appointment as inspector general had something to do with a certain issue at the law and human rights ministry, Mattalatta said it was part of an effort to improve performance.
"In short, I can say, it is part of an effort to improve performance," the minister said.
It was earlier reported that the Attorney General's Office (AGO) has started an investigation into alleged corruption involving access funds at the law and human tights ministry's directorate general of public law administration (AHU).
