Al Asmakh Charity Launched

Doha, August 07 (QNA) - Al-Asmakh Charity has been launched in Doha, the latest addition to a number of operating charity and humanitarian instiutions in the State of Qatar. The announcement came in a press conference held late Monday by founder Ibrahim al-Asmakh and Islamic preacher Nabil al-Awadi, who is a member of the foundation's Board of Trustees, and General Manager Nael Salah el-Din. Al-Asmakh expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for what they have provided to the Islamic community with endless support in all fields and circumstances. Also, al-Asmakh expressed his thanks to HE Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and the esteemed the Cabinet. The foundation's announcement came after all requirements have been fullfilled and licensing has been provided by the Ministry of Social Affairs, al-Asmakh said affirming the foundation's partnership and harmony with all foundations and charity organizations in the State bolstering charity activities. In addition to helping those who are in need financially, the foundation will set up small enterprises for some families, he said. The foundation had began with its activities within Qatar and abroad a while ago, but they were not implemented in its name as the licensing was pending, he added, pointing out aid efforts it has participated in along with other Qatari organizations.
