Qatar Charity Carries Out Health Projects for Syrian Refugees in Lebanon
Doha, August 06 (QNA) - Qatar Charity (QC) carried out, during the period from May to July 2012, three qualitative health projects at a cost of more than QR 2 million, in favor of Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
QC said in a press release today that the three projects included the areas of treatment the wounded and injured, provision of medicines to patient and equipping an isolated operation theatre.
The statement explained that these projects were conducted in collaboration with Dar Al-Shifa Hospital, of the Islamic Medical Association in Tripoli, which contributed treating 300 emergency and normal cases at value exceeded QR 711,000, those case included treating fractures caused by gunshot, cesarean deliveries and surgical operations.
The Executive Director of International Development in Qatar Charity Mohamed Mubarak Al-Adsani said that QC will continue to implement new packages of health and medical projects in favor of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, revealing attempts to bring medicines and field hospitals for displaced people inside Syrian territory, especially in the affected cities and areas which have seen deteriorating human conditions and require urgent aid.
