Qatar Participates in Holy Quran International Competition in Egypt

Doha, August 05 (QNA) - Qatar participates in the 20th international competition of the Holy Quran organized by Egypt's Ministry of Endowments in cooperation with Al-Azhar with participation of 87 readers from 62 countries. Qatar will be represented in the competition, which begins tomorrow, Monday, by Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al Hamri, who compete in the category of memorizing the whole Quran with the interpretation of section (14) and Yousuf Jaber Mohammed Al Tamimi, who competes in the category of memorizing ten parts of the holy Quran with Tajweed and recitation. The contestants Hamri Al Tamimi hailed the support and sponsorship provided to them by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in preparation for the competition which is one of the major competitions throughout the Islamic world.(QNA)
