Preserving 50 kind of plants from extinction
THAMAR, Oct. 16 (Saba)- The Regional Station for Research of Central
Heights in the General Authority for Research and Agricultural
Guidance has collected more than 50 kinds of natural plants related
to 17 families which Yemen is considered their original homeland .
Director General of the Station Abdullah-Muharam said to Saba that
these plants are existing in a plants complex for natural plants on
mountainous and central heights which was set up by regional
station with 2 hectares aimed to preserve them.
There are also natural plants widespread with various environments
for the central heights, in addition to its being a wealth for the
coming generations.
