Thailand, Palestine State establish diplomatic relations

BANGKOK, August 4 (TNA) - Thailand and the state of Palestine have established diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level. The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement released on Friday that Thailand and the State of Palestine have established diplomatic relations as of August 1, 2012. The Thai Embassy to Jordan is accredited to the State of Palestine and the Embassy of the State of Palestine to Malaysia is accredited to Thailand until the Embassy of the State of Palestine is opened in Bangkok. Thai Deputy Foreign Minister Jullapong Nonsrichai said that the establishment of the diplomatic ties between Thailand and the State of Palestine is the beginning of further bilateral cooperation, which has been limited to technical programs so far.
