London, August 02 (QNA) - ASPIRE4SPORT 2012 has announced that that this year's edition of the prestigious sports business congress and exhibition is set to be the most memorable yet with Liverpool FC and Paris Saint-Germain youth academy confirmed to host a series of football clinics.
The announcement, made in Qatar's National Olympic Committee's House 'Bayt Qatar' at Savoy Place to a host of sports investors attending the London 2012 Olympics, confirmed the third edition of the conference will take place in Qatar s world class Aspire Dome from 12th to 15th of November.
Certain to attract some of the world s top sports business experts to take part in discussions and exhibitions, this year's new slogan "Connecting Business&Sport," ASPIRE4SPORT aims to ensure that valued partners and participants will be given the opportunity to conduct business to business meetings with the key decision makers from major sporting entities across Qatar and the region.
"ASPIRE4SPORT is one of many initiatives Qatar has undertaken to encourage investment in sports in Qatar," said His Excellency Sheikh Saoud bin AbdelRahman Al Thani, Secretary General of Qatar Olympic Committee. "That is one of the reasons why we've issued 'Qatar Opportunities' a profile of all the reasons why Qatar is a fertile ground with much potential for sports growth, and which contains information about how to enter the Qatar sports market."
"Over the next 10 years a staggering 160 billion US Dollars is slated to be spent on development projects in anticipation of the FIFA World Cup in 2022," Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoud, Vice President of ASPIRE4SPORT told media and various sports investors, adding that the congress was thus developed "out of a growing need for organisations both locally and internationally to find a way to connect with the region s government and private sector in the area of sport business."
"I am delighted to be visiting Qatar for the first time through ASPIRE4SPORT," said heavyweight champion Lenox Lewis, who is scheduled to be a star panel member at the congress. "The country is showing huge promise as a sports destination, and I am very much looking forward to seeing Doha and being part of this exciting period of growth."
In a way that rivals the world's best cutting-edge sport business forums; the congress will incorporate three industry leaders to take part in this year s exciting new feature. Al-Mahmoud revealed, "The conference will feature three unique programs: Aspire Build, focused on infrastructure and stadium development; Aspire Tech, a conference on technology and sport; and Aspire Med, which will feature discussions on sports science and sports medicine."
"IQPC, Coliseum, and Informa Sport Group individually already lead their industries in sports conferences, but together they will combine to deliver a cutting-edge conference experience," added Al-Mahmoud.
Another exciting new feature will be the exhibition area, which has been restructured in a way that focuses on different key areas of sport business. Key organizations will be able to showcase their products and services according to seven distinct zones including Aspire Build, Aspire Tech, Aspire Med, Aspire Logistics, Aspire Equip, Aspire Org, and Aspire Turf.
