Georgian Defence Minister expresses condolences over death of Latvian Corporal

Georgia, Tbilisi, Aug. 2 /Trend N.Kirtzkhalia/ Georgian Defense Minister Dmitri Shashkin today expressed his condolences over the death of Corporal of Latvian Armed Forces Janis Voitkevich, the Ministry of Defence of Georgia said on Thursday. Latvian Corporal participated in international exercises, which take place from July 16 to August 3 in Sachkhere. The Latvian soldiers mastered the skills to work in mountainous terrain, including the use of equipment, route planning, evacuation, etc. in Georgia. The Corporal's state of health deteriorated on July 25 during a training exercise in Georgia. He was immediately taken to hospital in Gori, and was transported to the hospital of U.S. forces in Germany on July 27, where he died. Do you have any feedback?
