Chairman of Russian Federal Council to visit Yemen on Friday
MOSCOW, Oct. 15 (Saba) - Chairman of Federation Council of Russian
Federal Assembly Sergei Mironov to begin on upcoming Friday a state
visit to Yemen heading a Russian high-ranking delegation in response
to an invitation extended by Shoura chairman Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani.
During the visit Mironov will sign a bilateral cooperation protocol
between the parliament and the Federation Council of Russian Federal
Assembly, Yemen ambassador to Russia Mohammed Saleh al-Hilali told
Saba.
He added that the Mironov's visit is the first of its kind and
coincides with the 80th anniversary of setting up diplomatic
relations between Yemen and Russia and signing the friendship and
cooperation agreement between the two countries in 1928.
Al-Hilali said that the Russian official would hold talks with
Yemeni officials over cooperation relations and coordination between
the two countries in parliamentary field.
Moreover, they will discuss the available potentials for enhancing
economic and investment cooperation in addition to establishing
joint projects.
