King views expansion project of Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz

Madinah, Saudi Arabia, October 15 , SPA -- Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz viewed today the models,
simulated pictures and maps of the project of the expansion of Prince
Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah and was
briefed on the three-stage expansion which will extend from 2009 to
2019.

The expansion will include the building of a parallel new runway,
development of the current runway, the establishment of a new
passenger terminal with an area of 256,000 square meters to
accommodate 12,000,000 passengers annually, a new entrance for the
airport, public areas and investment areas.

Those responsible for the project listened to directives by the King
concerning the project.

Then, the King directed that the recently completed Yanbu airport be
named after the late Prince Abdulmohsin bin Abdulaziz. The King also
directed that the currently under construction Alola airport be named
after the late Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz.
