Indian delegation visits Ayutthaya, discovers strong cultural links

AYUTTHAYA (THAILAND), July 15 (TNA) - A new report finds that the ancient Indian city of Ayodhya has strong cultural ties with the former Thai capital Ayutthaya. This was highlighted in particular, during a visit to Thailand by a group of Indian lecturers, where they performed on stage traditional dances in Ayutthaya Province amid the delight of the locals. Governor of Ayutthaya Province Dr. Wittaya Pewpong says the culture of style and arts of the group is closely identical to that of the people of Ayutthaya province. He even says that Thailand’s Wat Phutthaisawan temple is well known among the group, who reckons several Thai temple designs are very similar to India’s. (TNA)
