Qatar Wins Second Gold Medal in IAAF World Junior Championship

Barcelona, July 14 (QNA) - Qatar s Ashraf El Saifi confidently won the gold medal in the Hammer event at the 2012 IAAF World Junior Championships after setting a new world record of 57.85 in Barcelona city on Saturday. El-Saifi's glorious victory on Saturday came 48 hours after his teammate, Hamza Driouch had given Qatar its first gold in the championship on Thursday. Qatar's remain in the ninth place overall in the general standings and have two athletes, Hashem Salah and Gamal Hayran are due to compete in the 3000 hurdles and the 800m on Sunday. (QNA)
