Armed forces chief:Myanmar has not charged Thai nationals

BANGKOK, Jul13 (TNA) - Supreme Commander General Thanasak Patimaprakorn said on Thursday that dozens of Thai detainees in Myanmar had not been charged and could return home before Myanmar President Thein Sein visits Thailand later this month. General Thanasak told journalists after his visit to Myanmar that there should not be any problem with attempts to help the Thai detainees in Myanmar because negotiations were going on at local, regional and diplomatic levels. In the future, the Thai armed forces chief acknowledged, Thailand and Myanmar may form their high-level committee or HLC to discuss bilateral problems, with supreme commanders of both countries to head the panel.
