GOVT CUTS FUEL OIL PRICES FOR INDUSTRY

Jakarta, Oct. 15 (ANTARA) - State-owned oil company PT Pertamina as of October 15 at 00.00 local time cut the fuel oil prices for industry following a decrease in world oil prices lately.

Pertamina in its press statement said that compared to the fuel prices per October 1, 2008, the price of premium oil for industrial customers was decreased by 4.2 percent, kerosene 6.1 percent, automotive diesel oil 6.7 percent, industrial diesel oil 6.5 percent, V10 diesel oil 5.9 percent, and fuel oil 3.4 percent.

"The price adjustment is because of MOPS (Mean of Platts Singapore or crude oil pricing) was down between 3.4 percent and 6.7 percent and the rupiah exchange rate weakened by 1.25 percent," he said.
The new price of premium oil per liter is Rp6,622 from Rp6,805 previously at four areas of Ex. Inst. Medan Grup, Panjang TT, TG. Gerem Depot, Plumpang Depot, Cikampek Depot, and Inst. Tanjung Priok, Inst. Semarang/Pengampon, and Inst. Surabaya Group.
Meanwhile, the price of kerosene dropped to Rp7,629 from Rp8,123, automotive diesel oil to Rp7,352 from Rp7,849, diesel oil to
Rp7,246 from Rp7,736, fuel oil to Rp5,923 from Rp6,773, V10 diesel oil to Rp7,171 from Rp7,711, and Pertamina DEX to Rp5,723 from Rp8,091.
