      Samsung Heavy wins US$250 mln deals for 3 oil tankers
   SEOUL, Oct. 15 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Heavy Industries Co., the world's second-largest shipyard, said Wednesday that it has won two deals to build three oil tankers for US$250 million.
The deals with two European shipping companies call on Samsung Heavy to deliver
the vessels by the end of 2010, the company said in a statement. It did not
identify the buyers.
With the deals, Samsung Heavy Industries has $13.9 billion worth of deals so far
this year, accounting for 93 percent of this year's order target of $15 billion.
Shares of Samsung Heavy were trading at 25,250 won on the Seoul bourse as of
11:00 a.m., down 1.17 percent.
