Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A State Honored Sportswoman and World champion S.Battsetseg has been selected as one of the members of the National team for freestyle wrestling to compete in the London 2012 Olympic Games.
This official decision has been made by Mongolia's Freestyle Wrestling Federation fully composing the national team for freestyle wrestling--B.Naranbaatar (men's 55kg), P.Onorbat (74 kg), O.Uitumen (84 kg), J.Chuluubat (120 kg), D.Otgontsetseg (women's 48 kg), S.Byambatseren (55 kg), S.Battsetseg (63 kg) and O.Burmaa (72 kg).
In the women's 63 kg category, two Mongolians have got rights to compete in the Olympics, but it is allowed to send one wrestler only to one category. Pursuant to the FILA's rule, the national teams must send names of their qualified wrestlers before July 9.
Wrestler S.Battsetseg grabbed very first gold medal in the 59 kg category from the 2012 FILA World Championship among women. She was awarded the Olympic right by the decision of the federation by defeating her Mongolian opponent O.Nasanburmaa, a State Honored Sportswoman.
Apart of this, the MFSWF has announced named of officials, medical doctors, referees and coaches to participate in the Olympic Games.
The MFSWF's president L.Chinbat has been elected a head for the Mongolian national team for wrestling; the MFSWF's secretary-general G.Bat-Erdene will chair the national team. In addition, a chief coach of the national team for freestyle wrestling A.Tserensodnom and coaches B.Bayaraa, Ts.Bayarsaikhan, Z.Duvchin and T.Sukhbaatar will coach the men's and women's teams. An Olympic class referee Ts.Sereeter will work in the referees' panel.

Members of the board of Mongolia's Athletics Sports Federation received on Thursday L.Bold and S.Ganbaatar, the federation's president and vice president, and then congratulated them on being elected the MPs.
The meeting has discussed past and future works. The federation's secretary-general Ch.Zorigtbaatar reported on works of the first half of this year, a member of the board B.Battsengel spoke about works to be done in last half of 2012.
The athletics federation also raised issue of organizing a long-distance marathon competition among Mongolian and South Korean runners and on Mongolia-Japan joint tournament named “Marathon of Steppe”.
