Thai pavilion popular at Korea Expo

BANGKOK, July 6 (TNA) - The Thai national flag and the flag of the International Exposition Yeosu Korea 2012 have been hoisted at the exposition in the South Korean Yeosu City, in which hi-tech future of the world’s marine resources are on display. Lee Joo-Hee, Chairman of the expo and Chote Tra-chu, Permanent Secretary for Natural Resources and Environment, representing the Thai government, jointly raised the flags at a ceremony held on Thursday, amid the display of Thai arts on conserving marine resources. The Thai pavilion at the event is also recognised as one of the top three most popular and outstanding pavilions participating at the International Exposition Yeosu Korea 2012, scheduled for July 5-August 12, 2012, thanks to their exciting exhibitions. A huge robot giant in the Thai myth stands at the entrance of the Thai pavilion to welcome visitors; while Thai arts are performed with sight and sound displays. Beautiful pictures of Thailand's sea beaches are also shown inside the Thai pavilion. It is estimated that some 10,000 people visit the Thai pavilion daily, representing 20 per cent of total visitors attending the South Korean expo. (TNA)
