4th round of Yemeni-Turkish Ministerial Committee wraps up

SANA'A, Oct 14 (Saba) - the 4th round of Yemeni-Turkish Ministerial
Committee has wrapped in Sana'a with a common trend to boost
bilateral relations on all fronts.

The two sides signed the minutes of the meetings that included the
meetings outcomes and deals reached during them.

They reviewed trade developments in the two countries and affirmed
their keenness to enhance bilateral trade exchange.


The meetings suggested that private sector representatives from
both countries contact and urged to encourage businessmen in the two
countries to exchange visits and provide them with necessary
information to know about better possibilities of current market as
well as effective laws and regulations.

The two sides agreed that Yemeni and Turkish businessmen who have
business relations in the two countries can establish a joint
association to promote promising investment in both countries.

The Yemeni side put forward a draft agreement to establish a
Yemeni-Turkish businessmen council which the Turkish side accepted
and announced it will present it to Turkish concerned bodies for
study and discussion.

At the meeting, the Turkish side requested the Yemeni side to
approve the he Framework Agreement on Trade Preferential System
among the Member States of the Organization of the Islamic
Conference (TPS-OIC). The Turkish side expressed Turkey's support
for Yemen's accession into the World Trade Organization and its
readiness to send Turkish experts to help their Yemeni counterparts
in negotiations with the WTO.

The two sides also have agreed on a bilateral investment promotion
and protecting each other's investments and signed a custom
duality deal. Moreover, they agreed on taking necessary measures to
encourage investments and partnerships between the two countries as
well as the importance of cooperation between the two countries
organizations of small and medium industries development.
